A great smoothie option for the 4th of July. The 4th of July is one of my favorite days of the year. The fireworks, the food, the family cookouts – what’s not to love? And I’ve got the perfect smoothie for you to sip on this holiday weekend.
Ingredients
1 cup fresh blackberries, or more to taste
5 large strawberries, hulled and halved
1 coconut or banana or your choice (- something to give you that white look)
1/3 cup orange juice
2 cups crushed ice
Directions
Place 1 cup blackberries, strawberries, banana, orange juice, and ice into a blender in that order, and blend on high speed until smooth, 30 seconds to 1 minute. Pour into glass and top serving with 3 blackberries for garnish.
If you want to give it that Forth of July flare, try layering your fruits such as …. blending the strawberries, some orange juice and ice in a blender, pour into your cup, then blend your coconut, banana or your choice with some orange juice and ice in your blender , pour into your cup. Lastly, blend your blackberries, some orange juice and ice in a blender, pour into your cup.
Here you have it… a nice festive smoothie for the holiday.
